The Composting Association, the UK leading's membership organisation for the composting and biodegradable resource management industries, is pleased to announce the dates for Compost Awareness Week 2008.

Compost Awareness Week 2008 will take place Sunday May 4 - Saturday May 10.?

Jane Gilbert, Chief Executive of the Composting Association said "Compost Awareness Week is great opportunity for the composting and biodegradable resource management industries to raise awareness of the importance of composting and the role that it plays it helping to make this country more environmentally friendly.

"We encourage all our members to get involved and to use this week as an opportunity to reach out to their local community, to make links with their neighbours and to explain the positive impact that composting has on the environment.

"We will be working closely with WRAP and other partners to ensure that next year's Compost Awareness Week will be the most successful ever."
